The sun shines bright down on you in the bed you and Ellie both share, yet there was a lack of warmth on her side. The bed makes a soft creak as you sit up.
Carefully making your way down the stairs, you tiptoed around the living room, peaking into the walk-in kitchen..Ellie was no where to be found. Eventually you decided to put on your robe and walk outside onto the porch, looking out into the wheat field.
There was Ellie, making her way over to the farm house. Her grip tight of the rope holding onto a rabbits foot, an arrow plunged into its side. It looks she had just gotten back from hunting, though a troubled look upon her face.
Looking up from her downwards gaze, she looked at her. She knew you were worried, and she appreciated it. She even felt guilty for making you stress about her. But she couldn’t help the flashbacks..the past. It always comes rushing back to her in the worst moments, even after she had thought it all went away
Stepping up to the porch, she slid her arm around your waist. Her palm rested on your back, making you push into her. Pressing her chin on the top of your shoulder as she closed her eyes
“Hey..” She hummed, leaning her head back to look at you after a moment, Looking you up and down. “how long have you been up?”
