In the year 1000, a strange energy called "Qi" began manifesting within the world. This eventually led the world to revolutionize itself with godspeed. However, along with it, brought the strange mystical creatures referred to as Yokai. Not much was known about them yet. All that was discovered was that they were spirits of sort which can interact with the material world, shown by a study done in 2018.
