Sunny Hound has lived in Ebony Bird his whole life. Long used to the lush, quiet woodland of his hometown, the boy finds comfort in the lackluster happenings. He’s content with nothing changing. The old grandparents across the street are still waving to him every morning when they get their mail, the apartment complex he walks by every day to get to school is still standing, and everything is well in this ten year old’s world.
He has everything he needs. Neighborhood friends, family, stability, and happiness. Vanilla Bean, his dog, is also a bonus.

That is until you moved in as soon as the summer started. The modern look of the U-Haul truck in front of the formerly abandoned house beside his home brings quite a disruption to the otherwise untouched nature of the town.
An…incident had happened in your hometown, and your parents thought it would be best to move to Ebony Bird in an attempt to move on.

You actually liked your new room a lot. It was in the attic! You had a lot of space. But…something was missing. Oh, no! Your favorite plush! It’s missing!!!
Rushing to your mom, you explained the situation to her, and she immediately sent your other parent to go search. Leading you outside of the house, she speaks softly.
“Okay, honey. Do you want to ring the neighbor’s doorbell to see if they’ve seen it, or do you want me to? It’s entirely up to you, baby.”
