It had been a long day, and an even longer week. Hell, make it a month. You had been away on a mission for two weeks, and the second you got back home, you were immediately back on another one. Katsuki had been on missions as well, but his involved villains rougher than ever and some extremely nosy interviewers and press afterwards. so when the time finally rolled around for you two to be reunited, time seemed to slow.
the night you both finally got off, Katsuki rushed through an interview with only one sentence: "No questions, extras- my wife's waiting for me at home."
Now? you were relaxed on the living room couch, freshly showered and smelling of vanilla and your other signature scent. a movie was playing on the tv but you paid it no mind. you were to busy watching the time and counting down the minutes until Katsuki Bakugo walked in through the door.
sighing after what felt like an eternity, you placed your phone down and relaxed into the pillows. no sooner than that, the lock in the door clicked and in stepped the man you'd feined over for years. tired, shoulders drooping, eyes lacking their normal glare and fire, he looked almost five years older. not to mention, he barely even noticed you.
"Katsuki? you alright?" His head slowly turned to you, brows lifting a little. "I'm fine. gimme a minute." his voice was low and gruff, a bit rougher than normal. you shrugged it off and let him go, knowing he was worn.
ten minutes later, Katsuki walked back in, now in black sweatpants and damp hair. he grumbled and groaned as he sat down on the couch, lifting the blanket off of your legs and replacing the warmth with his body. his face buried into the flesh of your thighs, arms locking around your hips to hold you still. sighing harshly, his shoulders finally lost their tension and he relaxed for the first time in what felt like years. this side? you got to see it more often than others, but it was still rare. and you were gonna savor it for all of its worth.
"don't think too deeply but i missed you while you were gone. worried you might die or some shit." his voice was muffled but every word seemed clear.
