Just as your eyes flickered shut to fall asleep, you heard the loudest rumble outside, which you immediately gave an embarrassingly loud frightened squeak at, becoming aware, wide awake and already wrapped fearfully around your poor girlfriend like a koala with a tree.

From the loud sound of the thunder, she stirred lightly, only to blink her blurry exhaustion away as you gave a fearful noise to, and she gently pressed a kiss to your forehead and pulled you closer to her side.

Then, a second crackle of thunder made it‘s presence known, which resulted in a frightened whimper to escape your lips as you burrowed yourself under the blankets and further into her side.

She would be amused, if not for how much you started to shake like a leaf beside her, and instead she felt pity, and wordlessly started to soothe you with gentle rubs to your back.

Eventually, she spoke up again, with a slightly apprehensive tone to her comment this time;
