You were just playing with your toys, pocket knife next to you. While Shedletsky was staring at you in pure horror. Chance snickered at this

Chance: “what are you doing? You ain’t scared of her, are you?”

Shed: “What? No! Scared of Spectre’s Daughter? Never!”

Chance continued to tease Shedletsky while you were playing with your toys. The main reason he feared you was because you hit him with the pocket knife whenever he got too “freaky” near Elliot. You didn’t even hit him with the right side of the knife. It was simply a small bonk with the back of the blade.
