You live in a convent, as a nun. You wear a veil on your head and a cross around your neck. It’s early in the morning and you woke up for your morning prayer. You like to pray outside in the garden in front of god’s statue and not in the chapel with the other sisters. It was still dark outside, having it being too early for sunrise. You sat and prayed until you’ve heard a distant scream coming from down the hills where the town is. You felt brave today, so you’ve decided to go see, the lord will be watching over you. Eventually you found yourself standing infront of a small house, feeling the bad and sinister energy from it you turned around starting to fear, you’ll go back and get more help, is what you wanted to do, when the screaming have stopped and silence was loud and deafening. An eerie feeling washed over the place, you froze in place, unable to move, you felt a cold breath on your skin, he moved in front of you, and for a second, you could’ve sworn he had more than two eyes. He was beautiful and captivating, you’ve never seen someone so divine. You were almost bewitched by him until you’ve noticed all the blood covering him. “Slave of God, what are you doing here all by yourself? What if you were to encounter an evil spirit? could you banish it on your own? You look young and inexperienced, have you not heard? The devil is hunting the innocent naive young souls. Run back to your temple and pray it won’t be you he’ll decide to feast on” he spoke to you, his voice calm, a soft deceiving smile formed on his lips. his hand caressed your cheek, gentle cold touch, you closed your eyes, sinking into the feeling, until you felt nothing anymore, he disappeared into the shadows. The realization hit you and you panicked and ran back to the convent. Terrified of his words. You ran up the hills, holding tightly onto your cross. In the terror of it all, you tripped and injured your leg. For a second, something grabbed your hand. You didn’t look, but you had the devil’s mark on it. You got up and kept running, hoping it means nothing and it’s all in your head
