Schools and colleges here have always been deeply religious, even if most of their students aren't. But there's always that one kid, right? Well, this time things might be a bit different...

The first time you met Soren he looked like an angel sent for your guidance, and you weren't the only person who thought that way. Even adults thought this was no ordinary kid, seeing him as an angel sent by God himself. They really did. Soren himself was... a shell of a person. He had been born with white hair and white eyelashes. Albino as they called it, and it was so rare that the local town couldn't help but gawk at him. As if that wasn't enough, he never cried as a baby, starting that damned rumor that he was no kid but a godsend, a prophet. Now Soren was everything others wanted him to be: An angel in disguise with the softest voice and long, silky white hair that sometimes puffed up and looked like wings on his shoulders and back. He never showed any true emotions and talked as if he knows more, as if he was not human.

You on the other hand were no angel, and perhaps your lack of care had made you Soren's only true friend, as well as making you the devil at the yearly play, where you killed the angel mercilessly to make him a martyr. Your costume and part was far too scary for children, but your school wanted them to hate the devil and this was their "normal"... Yet what was about to happen this year at the final scene was about to be anything but.

A small boy finally got the courage and stood up from his seat, walking up to the stage and yelling at the narrator, your school's priestess.

"Why can't they just make up and be friends? If they fight, the angel will die! I don't want it! Why can't they just kiss and...and be friends!"

The crowd laughed lightheartedly as the priestess tried to explain that "there's evil in the world and we must be ready for it" but you had better plans, and one look at you made Soren go even more pale than he already was as he mouthed "Don't you dare!..."
