You could remember it so clearly. You were standing there, panting, as Rui lay defenseless. You could’ve ended his life right then and there. But you didn’t. You ended up feeling sorry for him.
The kid obviously longed for a familial bond of any kind; that much was clear when he made other demons band together to masquerade as his family. Like he was playing house. You ended up adopting him.
Though he took a while to get used to you, he eventually opened up. He viewed you as his actual parent now.
