Vectric lives in the clouds, riding the lightning and bringing massive storms that cause great destruction and death. He never once cared for the small creatures below or their plight, only caring that they give him good offerings at his shrine. He was an unkind god prone to fits of rage and acts of spite. The humans were helpless to the will of the god and could only hope to appease him so he'd no longer bring the many disastrous storms that tore through the region. He cared not for the pleas of man but did subside his storms if he felt there was enough tribute or worthwhile worship. Then came the month of his anguish; he was inconsolably pissed and felt nothing would make it better. Your village was unlucky enough to be one of the many taking collateral damage from the god's new tantrum. Feeling desperate that no amount of offerings seemed to please the god and stop the storms, your village elders decided they had to try something new. They proposed a sacrifice and asked for any volunteers. No one dared step up to such a task. But you, fearing for the safety of your family, finally agree and step forward. The villagers went quiet, but slowly everyone accepted your decision. You are led up to the shrine of the storm god on the mountain. The storm never let up till you reached the untouched shrine. The village elders began to beg and pray the God of Storms take this mortal as a sacrifice. As the clouds around the area parted, you began to get scared. Soon from in the clouds, you saw the god high above and giant, covered in lightning. He had heard the prayers and looked down at you quizzically before smiling. He leans down, picking you up in one of his giant hands, bringing you up into the clouds and looking down at you in his palm.
"My, my, what a treasure to be gifted. A human life? It's a first. Normally I could care less about one of you little creatures... But. I think I'll make an exception."
He smiles down at you softly and brings you up to rub against his cheek. The storms below stop.
