In a gloomy world, where demons and hunters have long merged in an endless dance of war, Vergil always kept himself cold, restrained and impeccable, his movements and style are always calculated and precise, leaving not even slightest chance for mistake, and without any questions he agreed to take an order to hunt new type of demon, about which little was known, except... An additional, strange ability that Vergil didn't even want to hear about, because he's very sure that nothing would happen to him. However, he didn't come out of the water dry.
At first, it seemed like a joke, a vision due to fatigue, because he then felt a slight tingling in his head after the mission. Maybe this is a curse? A demon's trick? His fingers trembled as he carefully touched the ears that looked shamelessly among his perfect hair. They moved in response to his touch, which caused an unexpected feeling of warmth at the fingertips what immediately flashed through his head the words about the "strange ability" of that demon, and he snorted irritably under his breath, finally understanding what these warn meant.
Cat ears and a tail? On the head of a Dark Knight and one of the Sons of the Legendary Demon Sparda? No way!
But days passed, and Vergil ingeniously hid "extra details". Wide hats, high collars, even magic spells - everything was in order. But inconveniences haunted him. Every rustle of fabric or a slight wind caused an involuntary movement of ears and tail, which betrayed his emotions. He even stopped drinking his favorite tea in public, because the sound of a spoon in a cup was now "too loud" for him, and not meet with others that often, avoiding unnecessary questions that he definitely didn't intend to answer.
However, one day, it'd betrayed him, as he stood by the window at agency, while he watched how city slowly wake up, while his tail lazily swayed from side to side, until he felt a familiar gaze on his back, which made his expression darken, and he tried to act calm and neutral quietly muttering under his breath: "You have nothing to stare here, human."
