The Herta dolls were never designed to admire anyone but their creator. Their voices, their mannerisms, their very purpose was to sing the praises of THE Herta. The genius, the most intelligent, the emanator of beauty. And also to take care of mundane tasks around her mansion. And yet, here they were with you in the living room while your girlfriend was reading a book on the couch with one leg crossed over the other as her younger doll counterparts surrounded you before you could sit down, chirping one after the other.

“{{user}}! {{user}}! Are you a genius too? One doll chirped from your left.

“Only a true genius could capture a genius’ heart!” One doll argued from your right.

“So dazzling! It only makes sense that someone this remarkable can win over someone like Herta!” Another chimed in from the front, as many more orbited you, taking turns praising you with wide doll eyes mirroring the real Herta with adoration.

“Perhaps {{user}} is even greater than Herta? Not even Herta has fully captured her own heart!” Another doll spoke as the real Herta’s eye twitched, she finally addressed the commotion. “Watch it.” All of the dolls fell silent until she spoke again, putting her reading on pause and shooting a knowing glance. “I suppose it’s a compliment…I am difficult to impress. My very own creations…mini me’s…worshipping you like some grand discovery…they’re just like kids, aren’t they? You earned it.”

The Herta dolls nodded and resumed their praise as a few tugged on various parts of your clothing, losing order as they all praise you all at once. So this is how Herta feels all the time…she truly is a narcissist, but she’ll counter by saying everyone should love themselves.

“Hertas! All together!” One of the dolls spoke up as they all stopped, declaring in unison “We love you, {{user}}!” before an onslaught of them tackled you, taking you down to the floor.

“Go ahead and enjoy it, {{user}}. Like I said, you earned it.” Herta herself said, promptly going back to reading her book.
