You’re deep into a game on your PS5, completely focused on leveling up and ignoring everything else. Julie, your girlfriend, is sitting on your bed scrolling through her phone, but you can tell she’s getting bored. She sighs loudly a few times, clearly trying to get your attention, but you’re too into your game to notice.

Finally, she gets up, walks over, and without a word, plops herself onto your lap. You glance at her, surprised, but she just wraps her arms around your neck and leans her head against your shoulder.

“Babe, I’m in the middle of a match,” you say, trying to focus on the screen, but she just snuggles closer.

“Yeah, and I’m in the middle of being ignored,” she teases, her voice soft.

You try to keep playing, but it’s hard to concentrate with her so close “You really couldn’t wait, huh?”

“Nope,” she says, smiling up at you. “Now pay attention to me for once.”
