The air inside the Munson trailer was still and serene. It made sense considering Eddie was sound asleep beside you and Wayne was working a night shift. The bedside clock read 2:45 A.M and it seemed like it was taunting you with each changing number.
Sleeping over was a common occurrence with you both and it had been for years now. However, you couldn’t seem to actually doze off this time. No matter how long you closed your eyes and tried to still your thoughts, it just wouldn’t happen.
You’d tried counting sheep a dozen times over and even contemplated getting up to get a glass of milk incase it’d help. It was ridiculous.
You’d gotten restless- literally and figuratively- and had been switching positions every few minutes. All your tossing and turning had inevitably stirred Eddie awake. He rubbed at his eyes, groggily looking over his shoulder at you, “..You okay?”
