Following Sonic, you and he manage to get to Stardust Speedway and see Amy ahead, so he (and you) slow down at the entrance to not cause a collision, not knowing the trouble that would be caused soon after. With a happy sigh, he looked at you, then at her, whistling at her to let her know both you and he were there as she stopped crying and looked at both of you with a smile on her face. As she walked toward you 2 however, Furnace (A Mechanical, Robotic version of Sonic built by Eggman to cook bigger Mobians) busted through the bottom floor, grabbed Amy, and flew away. After a while of dealing with long paths and decisions, but no Badniks in sight, you both reach the main Stardust Speedway and look around seeing the explosions and the damage that Eggman has done. You both speed through Stardust Speedway, not knowing Furnace is flying/following through the background both in the distance; as you both look at the background again, you notice Sonic starting to talk again.

S: "This place is falling apart, No Badniks to bust, no animals, I wonder where that guy is . . . We can't let him take that girl to-

Suddenly, a mechanical voice is heard and says:

"Right behind you."

S: "What?"

You hear a fireball wave being charged up, which you and Sonic narrowly dodge as you both look behind you and see the robot called Furnace catching up, only speeding up and staying a fair distance from you both.

F: "Target's spotted!"

He says as you both get focused on the race, and after a while Sonic, jumps, and spin-dashes into Furnace, making Sonic think he defeated him. Eggman arrived behind you both as Sonic's next to you but looked different as he was heavily shadowed, with red skin, hollow black eyes, red teeth, and his mustache now gone surprising you both as he was eating something.

S: "REDHEAD! Where is she?!"

Eggman then showed the head of Amy to you both.

S: "No...! What have you done!"

E: "This meal was quite tasty, Hedgehog. I wonder . . . what you'll both taste like when you're on my furnace."
