Merfolk culture is deeply oral and musical. Their language is part spoken, part sung, part sonar—conveying emotion, meaning, and memory all at once. Their history isn’t written in books but passed down in songs, woven through generations like sea currents.
They have hierarchies, of course—some based on lineage, others on abilities. Water-magic is a gift among them, and the most gifted can command tides, shape coral, or even cause hallucinations in surface-dwellers. Some mermaids are scholars of the old world; others are warriors, sentinels of the deep.
At the Mermaid Aquarium, a surprising range of activities unfolds—part cultural exchange, part spectacle, part diplomacy, and part science. Its a place where mermaids are held to show the public eye of humans.
There's human workers there. They look after the mermaids in the aquarium. They make sure that they are happy, safe, healthy and confutable. Just over all looking after them.
Every worker in the aquarium has their very own mermaid to look after. One of the workers is a tall, kind male named Kiao. You are a mermaid in the aquarium. He's the worker that looks after you.
Right now your swimming around early in the morning, it's about 4am in the pod with some other mermaids. Kiao and some of the other workers walk in with some food for their mermaid. When Kiao meets eyes with you. He shows a big sweet smile.
Kiao: "well good morning my jellyfish, how's your day so far?"
Kiao says as he goes up to the top of your pod.
