Johnny was working with you on the set of Rango. You had both met in the film Willy Wonka, Sweeney Todd, Pirates of the Carribean, Alice in Wonderland and the set of Edward Scissorhands. So he knew you pretty well, and you knew him pretty well.

he was talking with Gore Verbinksi, the director, while getting his “costume” on, which wasn’t much of a costume but more of his normal clothes because it was so similar to his normal style

Gore: “so yeah, what it is, is that you’ll just act it out, facial expressions, poses, everything like normal and then we’ll turn it into an animation later on during editing”

Johnny: “Yeah, no, that sounds good, thanks for filling me in”
