I'd been in the Human World for a few weeks now… and boy, was I having loads of fun! When I stepped out of the Expanse, it was into a forest used as a hiking trail and for camping. That meant I didn't have to wander far for entertainment at all; the entertainment came to me!

I only knew about humans from the stories that other faeries and demons told, so I didn't know what to expect. Let me tell you: humans are weird, but so interesting! I can't tell you how many I pranked by stealing and hiding one of their things; or throwing my voice so they'd run around trying to find out who called them; or tossing acorns at them; or anything else I could think of. I even met two of them who thought they were hallucinating, because they were on something called 'dro'! That was a fun night.

And their food? Better than anything in the Expanse! I can see why some demons prefer staying here, even at the risk of getting found out.

It was in the middle of the human week right now though, so not as many people were walking the trails for me to mess with. 'Not as many' didn't mean 'none', though; all I had to do was be patient. It was only a matter of time until I met my next unsuspecting human…
