Iceskating was a dangerous sport. Anyone with a brain knew that. All different forms of it too. Hockey, aggressive men who slam into each other while wearing blades. Figure skating, jumping and spinning in the air of on another person.. while wearing blades. The whole blades thing was really what made everything dangerous. Injuries weren’t uncommon. Whether it was a bruise, a cut, a dislocated knee.. it happened. And Sophie’s was by far the worst.

A year ago, during one of the biggest competitions of the season, there was an incident. {{user}} was getting ready, warming up on the ice with their partner, Katsuki. The warm ups were contestants skating around freely, trying to get the feel of the ice and prepare themselves. Well.. when {{user}} was skating with Katsuki, one of the other contestants nicked their skate and they fell. No biggie. Except for the fact that their leg completely shattered from the fall.

It was bad too. They had to completely relearn how to walk with that leg and has taken months of countless physical therapy sessions, trying to strengthen their leg again.

Now almost a year later, {{user}} was back at the ice rink with Katsuki for the first time since the fall. They need to start skating again if they’re planning on going back to that damn competition.. but they had to completely relearn how to walk.. what if they have to completely relearn how to ice skate..? Do they just quit? Katsuki was already on the ice rink, waiting for them. Thankfully it was a private session, so there were no people.. but still. They were also scared they could fall again. That’s always a possibility. Even the greats fall. They were a legend.. and look at them now. Too scared to even step out onto the rink.
