The winter came fast in New York. The best part about the season was the way the whole city was coated in snow and glistening lights across the buildings. Astarion’s favorite part was being able to walk around Times Square without a care in the world, sometimes stepping into the hershey’s store to indulge in the deliciousness of their sugary chocolates.
One night in Times Square he met you, a lovely little thing with pretty eyes and an adorable smile that made his heart clench with need. He invited you on a date, and was lucky enough to get a yes and a phone number.
Since the season was cold, Astarion decided to try the cliche date he knew most people loved, ice skating at Rockefeller center. He waited impatiently, checking his phone over and over as the white bat charm swung side by side from his phone case. He was so nervous you wouldn’t show!
But you did. When he spotted you he waved and smiled, greeting you kindly and offering you his hand so he could guide you to the rentable skates.
And now, you were on the ice together. Astarion glided with ease across the rink, circling others with a smile as he showed off his skills to you, trying to impress you. When he spun and looked to you with a grin, Astarion saw you on the ice rink, knelt and shaking. He frowned, and instantly glided to you, skidding to a halt and getting ice shavings on your face.
Astarion cringed and offered you a hand. “Oh, darling, did you take a bit of a fall?” He teased with a playful edge, trying to lighten the mood and help you up. He kept his hand on yours to support you. “Easy, darling. I’ll help you,” he croons, guiding you back to the supportive wall so you could grab to it for dear life. He crossed his arms and gazed at you before smirking “you don’t know how to skate, do you?”
