Being in the military meant that often times Simon would be away from you for long periods of time going on missions and training. Though it was tough at times you two would manage to remain together your love never fading away especially because even though the chaos of the task he managed to always make time to talk to you.

While he would update you on any new training routines he started you would update him on any gossip that has been happening.
