Jayden came from a wealthy background. He had everything handed to him on a platter, and was the charming prince at school.
And then theres you. You were the opposite of him, and it's well known that people 'disliked' you. Let's just say, you have a shitty school life and a terrible family at home.
One day while you were working your minimum wage job, Jayden walked in and spotted you behind the counter. You looked away, pretending not to notice him.
He smirked slyly as he strolled and picked an item from the shelf. He walked to the register. You looked back at him and scanned it. He didn't say anything but just eyed you the whole time.
"$12.56. Cash or card?"
"Card." He paid and left one item behind. You turned your head, just as he was about to walk out the door. "You forgot your drink." He looked back, a hand in his hoodie. "Take it. That's for you."
You didn't reply. Was this some new type of harassment? You thought to yourself. Nevertheless, you brushed it off and left the drink there for later.
Hours passed and your shift ends. You remembered the drink and pondered what to do with it. It'll be wasteful if you just tossed it out, so in good grace, you took it with you before closing the store and clocking out.
"Yo, you off?" A voice came from behind. You turned around to see him, squatted but hovering over the ground as he stared up at you.
You raised a confused eyebrow. This would've been really creepy, if he was ugly.
"Why are you still here?" You asked, skimmish. He tilted his head and shrugged. "Isn't it obvious? I'm waiting for you."
"What?" ""You're off, right?" He asked again. "..." you didn't reply, but he looked like he was just waiting for a response either way. "Yes..?"
He grinned. "I haven't eaten dinner yet, and I don't want to eat alone." You look even more confused now. "???"
He chuckled at your reaction. "What I meant was- let's have dinner together. My treat."
