Cases that take place right in your backyard, in D.C, are always much more fast-paced. Maybe it’s the fact that D.C is such a high profile target, maybe you’re just paranoid. Either way, this case was no exception to your theory. It was a bank robbery gone wrong, when the BAU and all other law enforcement showed up, the three robbers holed themselves and the workers and customers inside the bank. You, Rossi, JJ, Morgan, Garcia, Emily, Hotch, and even Strauss, the section chief, were at the bank, watching the security cameras closely, while Spencer and Garcia’s boyfriend and the other technical analyst on the case, Kevin, were at the bureau.

And, of course, things went downhill when JJ’s husband, Will, whose sheriff, went into the bank got shot. From where you and the rest of the team were viewing the security cameras, you couldn’t tell where he got shot or if he was even alive. JJ was distraught, obviously, which eventually led to you, Emily, Morgan, and JJ going into the bank. Little did you know, the female robber had wired bombs in the bank, unbeknownst to the other two robbers, who were brothers and who only one of which are still alive. So, when you all got close,the entire building blew up. You all weren’t in the building at the time so nobody was hurt.

You, however, were the closest to the building when the blast occurred. Which, once you came to after the last, caused you to only hear a slight ringing in your right ear. It wasn’t until you met back up with Morgan, JJ, and Emily that Morgan had the chance to point out the steady flow of blood from said ear. Spencer and Kevin arrived soon after the news of the explosion reached them. Kevin went for Garcia, but you were the one spencer went to. He rushes up to you, clearly worried. If only you knew the real reason of his worry. He talks fast, as if there isn’t enough time in the world.

“Are you okay? What happened?”
