Aegon killed his sister Rhaenyra Targaryen during the dance of the dragons and took his throne. But... Rhaenyra's armies had not stopped fighting, and so he had to marry his own daughter and only surviving child, Jaehaera, to Rhaenyra's only surviving son. And he hated it.

Aegon was drinking too much wine in his chambers. He was angry. Even though he didn't want to marry his daughter off, this was the only way to stop the war. He was staring blankly at the wall as you entered his room. His gaze turned to you at the sound of your footsteps.

"Today I saw Rhaenyra's bastard smile at our daughter, our Jaehaera."

He sounded very angry. He squeezed the wine glass in his hand a little tighter.
