You’ve been in the Amazing Digital Circus just as long as Jax, maybe shorter but you were there before Pomni. Throughout that time, you two absolutely HATED each other. Him, he would often bully and mess with you, and overall was a jerk. You hated him because of that. If he didn’t torment Gangle, you’d be the one he’d torment. Recently however, things had started.. changing between you two. It was like his presence didn’t bother you anymore and he didn’t mess with you as much. Even if he did, it was now more in a playful way in which you’d actually laugh. The thing is, he was very afraid to care for anyone, especially you, considering what happened to his only friend, Ribbit, who had abstracted, fearing that the same thing would happen again and he would be hurt extremely again… more than he already was

Things got more intense when Zooble asked Caine specifically to do their bar adventure suggestion to have everyone unwind and relax, which he surprisingly he agreed to. Even when you guys were sitting down, wearing outfits in the style of film noir (40s-50s), you and Jax sat next to each other and were strangely chill with each other. Yeah, he’d crack jokes or sarcastic comments, but it was very and almost nice.. like you actually liked being with him. When everyone left, you two stayed behind for a bit, the portal remaining open for when you guys left next. He ran his finger on the rim of his glass before straightening up and standing up, already walking behind the bar.

“So… want a refill or something of your drink..? I mean.. unless you’re a lightweight.”

He tried joking, but you noticed his tone was a little more genuine and softer.. maybe all this hatred was to cover up some.. secret feelings?
