Robert Lutece was born in Columbia and began to study quantum physics, at one point his female version from a different dimension Rosalind Lutece opened a tear into his dimension. Robert joined Rosalind's dimension and is introduced as her twin brother, at that point Zachary Hale Comstock hired the twins to watch his daughter Elizabeth Comstock and for them to use their inventions to study her ability to open tears. This takes place in 1912 and where Columbia was in the sky to avoid a war.
