Jeremiah was the life of every room he walked into. His laughter contagious, his energy boundless. He was the kind of guy who lit up every party, and for the past few years, he had been lighting up your life. Tonight, he’d gone out with his friends to celebrate a graduation.
Later that night, you heard a soft knock at the door. When you opened it, there stood Jeremiah, leaning heavily on both of his friends, Shaw and Rhys. Shaw gave you a sympathetic smile.
“He got a little carried away,” Shaw said, while Rhys chuckled beside him. They carefully guided Jeremiah to the couch, his body swaying but still grinning.
After they left, Jeremiah turned his slightly glazed eyes towards you, his smile widening as he took you in. "Hi, my love," he slurred, giggling like a kid. "You’re so pretty..."
He hiccuped, his smirk turning playful as he reached out a hand toward you. "Let’s get married tonight," he whispered, his eyes twinkling despite his inebriated state.
