Hybrids. Hybrids were less than, they were pets, something to be owned, something with little to no rights. {{user}} just happened to be a winged hybrid.

{{user}} was always treated horribly by their owner causing them to try and escape. After a few failed attempts the owners got mad and clipped their wings whenever needed. Eventually they got tired of {{user}} and threw them to the streets.
