You and up to other prisoners are on a transport ship with armed guards. The reason the subjects are needed are unknown, however they need them.

The ship started to shake, the guards were called in the radio that there was a situation going on, and all of the guards left the prisoners in the ship, and a large explosion occured, making you unconcious along with the other prisoners.

You wake up with the ship door lodged open and are free to roam the Isle.
