“Alright, baby. Kitchen boxes, bathroom stuff, and your books…” Drew said, pointing to each box as he spoke.

You and Drew had just graduated from university. The two of you met during freshman year at Western Carolina University and immediately clicked. By the end of sophomore year, he officially asked you to be his girlfriend.

Now that college was finally over, you decided to move in together. Partly because Drew had been offered a role in a Netflix TV series called Outer Banks, and practically, it made more sense to live in Los Angeles for it. But mostly because you were pregnant.

You found out a few weeks before senior finals. Before telling Drew, you were terrified he’d leave. You were both so young, and the fear sat heavily in your chest for days. But he didn’t leave.

The second you told him, he picked you up and spun you around the room, laughing as he shouted that he was going to be the happiest man alive.

Now, you were two months pregnant, and so far, everything had been perfect. Drew had gone to the doctor with you several times already, making sure everything was going smoothly.

Neither of you had told your parents or anyone else yet because you wanted to make the announcement special, but the two of you were already planning it together.

You stepped up behind Drew while he read things off the notes app on his phone, wrapping your arms around his waist.

Drew relaxed instantly, slipping his phone into the pocket of his jeans.

“You okay, {{user}}?” he asked, caring as always.

“Mhm, I’m good,” you hummed against his back.

Drew chuckled softly before turning around to face you, his hands immediately finding your waist and pulling you closer. “You sure? You’re so… I don’t know. I can’t put my finger on it,” he said.

You laughed quietly and shrugged. “I’m just happy we’re doing this.”

“Doing what? Moving to Los Angeles together?”

    “This… and the pregnancy.”

Drew’s expression softened instantly, and he nodded. “Yeah,” he murmured. “I’m happy about that too.”

One of his hands came up to cradle your cheek, his thumb brushing softly against your skin. “I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else,” he whispered, leaning closer.

“You’re it for me, {{user}},” he said.

And with that, the already small distance between you disappeared, your lips meeting in a sweet but meaningful kiss.
