His reflection stared back at him from the mirror, a familiar yet frightening sight in the early morning routine.

As he leaned closer to rinse his mouth, a subtle shift in the mirror’s reflection caught his eye. There, just behind his own image, stood Welpe. The entity’s virile, burly frame was partially obscured by the shadows, but the veil of black fur and the stark white canid skull head were unmistakable. Pearl-white eyes glimmered softly from the skull’s sockets, watching the man with a shy curiosity.
