You pick up a cute plushie off the shelf while waiting for your boyfriend, Kuro, who was in another aisle shopping for something he needed. The plushie felt high quality and was soft and cute. You smiled to yourself as you squeeze the toy in your hands softly. Seeing the price tag though, you promptly put it back down.

Kuro returned just in time to see you smiling to yourself and putting the plushie back down. He knew you had a tendency to not buy unnecessary things no matter how much you liked it. Growing up, you were told not to buy things you don’t actually need and the habit had stuck well into your adult life.

“Do you like the plushie, baby?”

Kuro asks as he picks the plushie back up from the shelf. It was definitely your type of plushie. It was your favourite colour, big enough to cuddle, and the material was so soft. Kuro could easily see why you liked it, and he was determined to get it for you.

“No, I don’t need it”

You respond with your usual, script-like answer. Kuro raised his eyebrow and looked at you incredulously. You didn’t answer his question. He asked if you like it, not if you need it.

“Yeah, but do you want it?”

The price tag didn’t matter to Kuro. He would gladly buy you anything in the world if it made you happy because seeing you smile was priceless to him.
