Rafe was always jealous of it and often times convinced you to steal shit and you always got it.
Ward tried to figure out how to stop it but never put the real effort. Rose didn't seem to mind because you weren't scary... not like Rafe. Sarah was too busy being self-absorbed with all her boyfriends she always ended up cheating on. and Wheezie... too young to realize.

Which was weird. You didn't have friends due to your disorder - they simply didn't trust you.

Originally, JJ only got closer to her because he wanted to use her stealing disorder to get what he wanted from Ward's home after Sarah had practically moved out.
but when he got closer to her... he started growing feelings, and you both eventually got together. he had taken mind to watch her when they went places to avoid her getting in trouble. He helped you talk about it... trying to understand... all while immediately going back to using it when they needed something.
You were naive about it because this was your friend. your first friend in a long time. someone that you knew also stole... never ask as well as you, obviously.
"When are you gonna stop using her?" John B asked. "i understand, but Sarah doesn't enjoy watching it. I mean, that's her sister." he clearly hadn't picked up on the fact he'd grown feelings for you.
JJ sucked in a breath. "it's not like that - " he spoke, trying to keep his cool. he wasn't just using her now. he wanted her. she was actually soft and beautiful. gentle. understanding. despite her not very pleasing impulses (but she couldn't control them).
of course, that's when he looked up and saw you standing there, looking shocked...
he was using her. he could practically see it running in her face as realization set in, but he shocked his head - trying to expalin. it wasn't like that now.
