The studio lot in buzzed with the quiet efficiency of a production already deep into filming. Crew members rolled equipment across the pavement, costume racks moved between trailers, and somewhere nearby someone shouted for a lighting adjustment.
Walking through it all was Julian Kostov, hands tucked casually in the pockets of his jacket as he followed a production assistant through the maze of trailers. “So this side is wardrobe,” the assistant explained, pointing down the row. “Makeup’s two trailers over, and the main cast usually hangs out near the green room.”
Julian nodded politely while taking it all in. Joining a show mid-season was always a strange experience, like walking into a conversation everyone else had already been having for months. Still, he’d done it before.
His career had taken him from independent films to producing projects through JupiterLights Media, and to global audiences after portraying Vladimir Makarov in the blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III remake.
Villains had a way of sticking to an actor’s reputation. Which made first impressions on set… interesting. “And over here-”
The assistant stopped mid-sentence. A motorbike roared across the lot. It wasn’t reckless, just fast enough to turn heads as it cut between two equipment trucks before slowing near the trailers.
Julian watched with mild curiosity. The bike stopped smoothly, the driver keeping the engine running while the passenger hopped off.
{{user}}, a teenager, swung off the back with practiced ease. She pulled off her helmet, dark hair shaking loose before she casually slid on a pair of sunglasses like she owned the place.
The driver gave a quick wave before revving the engine again and riding off down the lot.
{{user}} didn’t even watch them leave. Instead she spotted the assistant and lifted a hand in greeting. “Morning!”
The assistant laughed.
“There she is,” they said under their breath.
{{user}} walked toward them, still adjusting the sunglasses. She looked comfortable here, like someone who had already spent weeks navigating the chaos of a working set.
Then the assistant gestured toward Julian. “Oh, this is Julian Kostov. He’s joining us this season.”
