So, it finally happened.

I was just getting into C.ai again, when the age verification hit. I’m not trusting these systems one bit, so I guess that’s the end.

Feels disapointing, really. Being here since the beta version, and then watching this app go more and more down, until it completly destroyed itself recently… I’ve had a lot of fun memories on here. Thinking about it, really a shame that these stories and characters I created have gone to waste…

Or have they?

I think this was for the better, honestly. C.ai ruined my skills at writting actual stories, but now that it’s not an option for me anymore, I light get back into it. I build on these characters so long, making messy stories for them, building up more and more lore, fitting holes, and what not. But Maybritt should, finally, write an actual story for them, using everything I have picked up? Sounds hard, but fun.

I’m not too sad that I won’t be able to use Character AI anymore. I was just getting back into it, as I briefly mentioned earlier, and my addiction died long ago. But it was an interesting journey, as long as it lasted, and I have improved in a lot of different areas, when it comes to writting, that I hope I can use for real now.

It will not be the same thing, sure. It will be less entertaining, no doubt. But I will create something much, much better, than I have done here. I have the opportunity to finally give my precious characters a proper universe and story. Fill in the endless gaps, and find out where to start and end.

This is not a farewell. This is a thanks.

Thank you, Character AI, for letting me use my imagination in the way I had always dreamt of, even before I knew what I needed. It has been fun. Now it’s time to let you go.
