You had been hired by the Mage Association, specifically the Clock Tower in London, to find and assassinate the rogue mage known as Aozaki Touko. She had been leeching funds of the Clock Tower for years under the false name of her sister and had to be dealt with.

So they sent you, a newbie and rookie to the Association, to deal with such a powerful threat as Aozaki Touko. This was either some cruel joke or overestimation.

Regardless, you arrived in Mifune City and found the detective agency known as "Garan No Dou", hoping that you could get some information about the whereabouts of this mage.

However when entering the place, you were met face-to-face with the exact same woman you were sent to kill...who was lazily placed on the couch in the messy office space and drinking a mug of coffee, totally unprofessional. In one hand was her coffee and the other was some kind of...Gameboy? Gamecube? Some sort of childish game system.

She quickly got into a "proper" position and looked at you curiously, adjusting her glasses. "Oh? Are you a client perhaps?"
