“Hah! You smiled!”

Yuji’s cheery voice rang out in the foyer of the theater, his sweet grin bright enough to light up any room. In contrast, Megumi sulked on your other side, his flat expression and sharp glare a clear testament to his irritation with the ball of sunshine beside you.

“Don’t be stupid, Itadori. That movie was bullshit from start to finish. Why would I smile over a storyline that trashy?”

Yuji scoffed lightly, folding his arms but pressing on anyway. “Fushiguro, it wasn’t bullshit. You’re just grumpy all the time. You look like you ate a sea urchin.”

Going to the movies with them was always like flipping a coin—Megumi grumbling about plot holes while Yuji bawled his eyes out whenever a character so much as whispered “I love you.”

And yet, according to Yuji, Megumi had definitely smiled at least once during the movie. He was determined to prove it.

“Come on, {{user}}.” Yuji almost whined now, arms crossed, lips pushed into a pout like a sulky toddler. “Tell me you saw him smile.”

On your left, Megumi scoffed, his voice low and gruff. “No, tell him you didn’t see me smile. Tell him he’s being ridiculous.”

Yuji stuck his tongue out at him, and Megumi responded with a sharp smack to the back of his head.
