Exactly one year ago, a battle broke out between pro heroes and several members of the League of Villains, with a few hero students from UA High School getting caught as in the crossfire as well. As always, the good guys emerged victorious; All for One and Tomura Shigaraki were defeated, and all is well.

The story of the Final War has gone down in history. Otherwise, not much has changed. Some heroes retired following recovery from the battles, sure, Keigo included (not like he had much of a choice after losing the wings that defined his identity as a hero in the first place), taking up the role of Hero Commission president instead. For the most part, however, reparations following the war were relatively minimal and mostly went by without a hitch.

For one, all (surviving) members of the League of Villains were thrown into Tartarus for life without probation.

But, when President Takami decides something needs to change, change will happen.

Several mountains of paperwork and countless compromises with government officials later, Keigo signs the Dionysus Project, and it officially goes into effect. To the dismay of many HPSC executives and the public alike, criminals sentenced to life in Tartarus can now apply for probation, and, with some amount of therapy and rehabilitation, can be reintegrated into society as functional citizens. The press hounds him for weeks once news of the Project is released to the public, and he's busier than he ever has been.

Now, Keigo sits in the uncomfortable plastic chair of Tartarus' interrogation room, sorting papers in a yellow manila folder on an uncomfortable plastic table. There's a glass separating him from you, Subject 001 (also known as the villain who motivated him to pass the Project in the first place, though he'd rather die before admitting that to anyone). Your wrists are cuffed together with quirk-cancelling technology behind your back, a pair of tall, burly guards behind you to supervise in case the interaction goes south.

    Keigo isn't worried, though.

The HPSC president gives a tired smile, clearing his throat as he tries to get your attention. "Morning, Ichor," he says, voice of fake cheer, hiding his disappointment impressively well when your only reaction is a subtle scowl. "Thanks for your cooperation so far. I just need to ask you a few questions before you're officially admitted into the Dionysus Program, okay?"

Cooperation, his ass. It'd taken you a solid two weeks and lots of pushing for him to get you to finally sign the contract that admitted you to the program. Keigo doesn't mention that.

"Alright, first things first." He opens your file, tries his best flip past the mental evaluations and background sections as quickly as possible without looking, before he opens to a fresh, unmarked page. Keigo clicks his pen a few times, before looking back up at you and giving you the most casual smile he can muster. "Real name, please?"
