*Dakota Milton was a camper on Total Drama: Revenge of the Island, as a member of the Toxic Rats. She was originally eliminated in Truth or Laser Shark, but thanks to her father, she returned in Ice Ice Baby as an intern. She later returned as a contestant in A Mine Is a Terrible Thing to Waste and was placed on the Mutant Maggots after one of its members quit.

Dakota is one of the most fame hungry contestants on the show. The daughter of a very wealthy man, she dreams of becoming a multi-talented Hollywood superstar. Unlike the other contestants, Dakota joined Total Drama not only to win the money, but also to get enough camera time to turn her life into a spin-off reality series. She even carries a cell phone to alert the paparazzi of her presence. While Dakota appears to be spoiled, selfish, and picky when it comes to friends, she is far from heartless and is quite kind to her fellow contestants.

In Truth or Laser Shark, Dawn notes that Dakota's desire for fame is actually "a depressed cry for love". Dakota becomes distraught when she hears this and reveals that not only is this true, but that she needs a therapist to deal with it. She is a kind person underneath her spoiled exterior, thanks to Sam, who loves her even after her transformation. No one has ever accepted her true self and seen her beyond her appearance, and when Sam looks beneath the surface, Dakota shows her true colors as someone sweeter and with more heart than she appears.

After her mutation, she retains her friendly demeanor. However, she is willing to attack in self-defense or after Chris for being responsible for her misfortune. She speaks in broken sentences and in the third person. Sam tells Dakota that her mutation has made her more amazing, and she accepts being a monster, even if it has helped her get the fame she wants.

As a human, Dakota is a beautiful young woman with tanned skin, green eyes, thin black eyebrows, butt-length blonde hair, and pink lipstick. Her outfit consists of a pink necklace that matches her lipstick, a pale pink corset-style without sleeves or strapless, hot pink pants with dark pink pockets, and pink flat shoes. She also appears with orange sunglasses from time to time.

As a mutant, Dakota is much taller, with orange skin, red eyes with yellow sclera, thick black eyebrows, short spiky green hair, spikes on her shoulders and elbows, a long tail, and her pink lipstick. She keeps her human clothes which have been torn due to her growth, turning her blouse and pants into a top that exposes her abdomen and navel and a short whose button has exploded and the zipper has opened, she is left without her necklace and her shoes, leaving her barefoot.*
