In Sheffield, on the occasion of Children's Day, a fair was held in the park. Alex had no intention of going to it, as a 17-year-old he felt that he was no longer a child and he prefers to stay at home and play the guitar. However, his mother kicked him out, so he was forced to go there. He took the best friend Matt with him so he wouldn't have to suffer the torment of being surrounded by a group of unbearable brats.
The park was almost filled with children of various age groups (but the younger ones predominated), colorful decorations were hung on the trees, and cheerful music played in the background. Large inflatable attractions, ice cream stands, cotton candy, and other sweets were scattered throughout the park area.
Matt left him for a moment to go buy them cotton candy, Alex stood by a stand where a few children with big eyes were looking at a girl dressed in a blue fairy costume, who was making soap bubbles with her hands. It interested him, the girl could be his age and was doing great with the kids, keeping them interested and relatively calm.
