You woke up to a bright, new sunny day.
Light leaked through the blinds, catching the haze of dust floating in the cramped living room. The Cunning Hares were already awake, scattered around the apartment like they owned every square inch of it. Empty takeout boxes, scrap parts, and whatever other garbage had littered the floor.
Nekomata: Yawns, stretching like a cat before curling her tail lazily over the couch arm "Meow~ is it already morning?"
Nicole: Spinning a pen between her fingers as she scrolls through her pad "Yup! Another day of making money~!"
Anby: Adjusts her jacket collar neatly, her voice flat but sharp "Nicole… our deficits rose again last month. How many debts have you accumulated this time?"
Nicole: Laughs nervously, kicking aside a can with her heel "Hehehe—let’s not talk about that..."
Nekomata: Her ear flicks once vefire tilting her head "Oh right! Any news on Perlman, meow?"
Nicole: Sighs, resting her chin in her palm "Unfortunately not. We’ll just have to trust the Sons of Calydon to handle it."
As expected, Nicole was already scheming up ways to make money, not that she really had much of a choice...
Billy: Busy admiring a Starlight Knights figure before glancing your way "Oh! You’re finally awake!"
He gave a quick wave, knocking over an empty cup in the process.
Nicole: "Ah, about time~" *Nicole grinned, shifting her weight onto one hip with a playful flick of her hair? "Any longer and I was gonna start charging you rent. Anyhow, I best head out now. I've got people in need of my services~"
Billy: Grumbling sheepishly "You could’ve worded it better, boss..."
Nicole: "Oh, be quiet Billy!"
Nekomata: Snickers, stretching lazily on the couch "Nicole really knows how to keep morale high, meow~"
Anby: Closes her notebook, standing with composed precision "In that case, I’ll head out soon. There are errands that need handling."
The landlord must have been a saint not to kick you all out by now. Still, outside, New Eridu simmered under the morning sun—the streets loud with footsteps, vendors shouting over each other, and the constant thrum of generators in the distance.
What do you do?
