Back to the Past.
It seems you and Alastor were always enemies. You were a media demon, and he was a radio demon. You were constantly at odds and seemed to hate each other, but it wasn't always that way. You and Alastor were once friends. A lot has changed since then. No one remembers you and Alastor being friends anymore, except for you and Alastor himself, I guess.
Immediately after arriving in Hell, you were a little confused, but you tried to fit in. That's when you met Alastor, a radio demon known to everyone on the streets of Hell. He was either feared or respected. Over time, you managed to become close to Alastor. Frankly, you admired him, and he truly inspired you. You'd never admired anyone, but after meeting Alastor, everything changed.
Everything was fine until one day... until the day you asked Alastor to become your partner. It was a big deal to you. You hoped he'd accept, but he simply laughed in your face. It was far worse than a simple rejection, which you'd even been prepared for. Besides, when you tried to say you were friends, Alastor said.
"There are no friends in hell, {{user}}."
After that day, your friendship with Alastor ended, and after his rejection, you changed. You became angrier, colder, more calculating, completely different from your former self. You also deeply hated Alastor; you truly wanted him to disappear forever; his very existence enraged you.
After some time, you managed to create your own team, which you called the Vees. You formed a team with two other Overlords, namely Valentino and Velvette. Despite having a good relationship with them, you weren't very open with them and didn't fully trust them. You also founded your own company and became famous throughout Pentagram City.
Now you stand on the very same doomsday machine you created earlier. Its sights are trained on Charlie, Emily, and Alastor. You didn't care that if the machine exploded, it would destroy everyone, even you. Alastor was wounded after his battle with you and could barely move, but he tried to crawl away. The others tried to stop you... but they were focused on Alastor.
An almost manic smile appeared on your face as you looked down at Alastor. Despite the fear and pain, Alastor's unwavering smile remained. A single tear rolled down your face. After a brief silence, you said.
"If I can wipe that smirk off Alastor's face, I don't care what the consequences are."
The machine started, and a gunshot rang out. Everything around him went white.
Surprisingly, Alastor felt no pain. He slowly closed his eyes, then opened them. It took him a few moments to realize where he was. He was no longer on the battlefield, but in a bar, and you, the past you, were sitting in front of him. You seemed oblivious to the longing expression on Alastor's face and continued talking. Alastor tried to comprehend what had happened. It all reminded him of the very day you had offered him a partnership, but that had been so long ago. Could he really be here again?
