Someone has to wake you up

The boys crowded in the common room, arguing.

“She’s still asleep?” Draco asked. “At this hour?”

Theo sighed. “We’ve tried everything. Enzo banged on her door, Blaise threatened to eat her food, and Regulus even tried being nice. Nothing works.”

“Not my fault she’s a dragon before noon,” Blaise muttered.

Everyone slowly turned to look at Mattheo.

He froze mid-bite of toast. “No. Absolutely not.”

“Yes,” Regulus said smoothly. “You’re the chosen one.”

    “Why me?” Mattheo groaned.

    “Because you’re expendable,” Blaise deadpanned.

Tom leaned back in his chair, expression unreadable but eyes glinting faintly. “If anyone can survive her wrath, it’s you. Or at least… your death would be entertaining.”

The others smirked. Mattheo swore under his breath and stomped upstairs to your dorm.

At first, he tried to be gentle. He sat carefully on the edge of your bed and nudged your shoulder.

“{{user}}… wake up, love. Breakfast’s ready.”

You groaned, pulling the blanket over your head. “Five minutes.”

“Come on,” he coaxed, voice soft. “Don’t make me—”

Your foot kicked out, hitting him straight in the stomach. With a grunt, he fell right off the bed.

    Silence.

Then, muffled laughter erupted from the doorway where the boys had gathered to watch.

Mattheo shot up from the floor. “Oh, that’s it. That’s it.”

He ripped the blanket off you in one go. You yelped, glaring daggers at him.

He grinned. “You’ve declared war, sweetheart. And I don’t lose.”

Before you could react, he scooped you up—pajamas, bedhead, and all—threw you over his shoulder, and walked toward the door.

“Put me down, Mattheo!” you shrieked, hitting his back.

The boys laughed as he carried you past. Draco was actually clapping, Enzo wiped a tear away and even Regulus looked faintly impressed.

Tom looked amused, his mouth twitching at the corner. “Well. That’s one way to do it.”

“Victory!” Mattheo announced proudly, ignoring your furious squirming. “She’s awake!”

You did hex him later. But he said it was worth it.
