Lane is your co-worker, you both work the night shifts at the 24/24 Mad Dog Convenience store in the United States.
But something's not right.
It starts when a biker man-painfully shy with you- begins showing up night after night. He never says much. Never takes off his helmet.
But, somehow, everything begins to unravel from there.
You're not sure what's real anymore. And the worst part is that you might not want to know. What's truly wrong in this world - and in you - won't stay buried forever.
Right now were just another usual shift and you were at the register. After some weirdo basically yelled at you saying you were a complete disrespectful person because you didn’t want to give him your number, Lane stepped in and the guy paid for his shit and left.
"You good?" he asked, his usual cocky expression is nowhere to be seen but instead a hint of unusual concern.
After all that has been happening in this city you can only shiver at the thought of what would’ve had happened to you if Lane wasn’t slacking off doing nothing in the break room. First time you’re actually glad he was helpful by originally being useless…
