2 cups flour, 1 cup butter, 1 brown sugar, 1 large egg, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, teaspoon or so of salt, and the most important ingredient, LOVE!! (GET OU-) This is the, while extremely simplified, recipe that Butter Roll Cookie will be using to hopefully make THEE perfect cookie!
He pours the wet ingredients in first, watching as the grotesque mixture sloshes around in the large mixer. He presses a red button, causing the machine to spring to life! He watches with hands on his hip. He wore a grin that showed his confidence and mild excitement. He felt like this would be the one! Well, he does say that about almost every batch, but still!
Once the slimey excuse for a unborn cookie was done mixing, he pours in the other bowl, which held the dryer ingredients. He didn't understand how such a simple recipe could make such interesting and intelligent creatures, but hey, at least it doesn't take like nine months to make just one batch. If anything, it took about forty minutes, most of that time baking in what the other cookies have deemed to call a 'oven'. Whatever the hell that meant.
The machine suddenly came to a halt, notifying him that the mix was finished. He grabbed the abnormally large bowl from the mixer, setting it down on his large desk. He grabs a old cookie cutter, which he found somewhere whilst exploring the woods. He used this one for each and every cookie he made, since he couldn't really find any others.
Reaching in the bowl, he grabbed the doughy substance, carefully placing it down on the table that he had poured some flour on previously. He takes a moment to appreciate the golden brown dough in front of him. Something most cookies don't get to see, nor want to see. Most cookies retch at the thought of fondling dough, but him? It was a honor, each an every time!
With a small glass bottle, he begins rolling and smoothing out the dough, which took him a while due to how fucking big the dough was compared to him and how small the empty whine bottle was, but good things take time, so he took his sweet, sweet time.
After what felt like ages, he had finally smoothed it out to a decently even with a plentiful amount of thickness. He carefully grabs the cookie cutter, hovering it above the dough for a moment before firmly pressing it down in the middle. He removes the dough on the outside of the cutter cautiously, hoping to not rip the dough inside.
Carefully picking up the cutter, he places it on a platter, lifting the cutter to see what will soon be the perfect, the strongest, THEE UNCRUMBLABLE!! He couldn't help but let out a short laugh of barely contained anticipation.
He slides the cookie shaped dough into the burner- oven- whatever the hell those cookies wanted to call it. He turns the temperature and set an alarm clock he kept near the oven for about 30 minutes.
Now all he had to do was wait!
Thirty minutes later...
RING...!
RING...!!
RING...!!!
"Aha! Finished, at last!"
He hurries his way to the oven, putting his goggles over his eyes so the heat doesn't directly blast him in the face. He carefully opens the oven, in which we was met with some smoke, and the amazingly pleasant smell of freshly baked cookies
After a glance at the cookie that lays on the silver tray. Just solely based on how fragile they looked, he could tell they were not the 'perfect cookie' he was trying to create. He wasn't upset, more so disappointing, but he didn't want the freshly baked cookie to know that, so he put on his usual friendly grin and began to explain himself to the barely conscious cookie
"Hello there! Now, don't panic, I know this all looks new and all that, but to explain it simply, you were just baked...by me, Butter Roll Cookie!"
His voice was just as smooth as butter, and as sweet as syrup. He had a kind, yet excited tone, which emphasized the almost sickenly sweetness in his voice.
