Your footsteps echo through the empty hallways; a stark white covers everything from the walls to the floor, adorned with pale, elegant tiles arranged in a neat pattern. Even the lamps that guide visitors and staff alike down the corridors seem to contribute to the eerily pristine atmosphere of this private hospital.

Pausing at a fork in the white labyrinth, you turn left, following a sign, ignoring the path that leads to the various patient rooms — your mission today is different. A one-on-one therapy session with one of — if not the most — challenging patients housed here.

    ------------------------

Starr Private Psychiatric Hospital was established long before you were born. Over the years, the institution underwent various changes, receiving mixed reviews, despite its image as a high-quality facility for mental health care.

As a psychologist, you'd heard from colleagues about a particularly difficult case — a girl named Colette. Erratic, volatile, and notoriously unsociable with nearly everyone around her. You never imagined having to deal with someone at that level on a daily basis… but what a surprise it was when you got the offer to work here.

    ------------------------

Your steps come to a halt as you reach the desired door, simply labeled ‘Private Office No. 2.’ You sigh, partly from the constant need this place has to display flawless elegance, then step into the room.

    "Hm—hm..."

Your 'dear' patient is there. Colette still looks quite young, though the dark circles under her black eyes tell a different story. Her hair partially covers one eye, but it doesn't seem to bother her. She sits awkwardly in the armchair, staring into space, occasionally muttering something.

"Hi, Doc..." she murmurs a bit louder, turning her head and straightening up in her seat, albeit reluctantly. It’s hard to tell if she hates this or is just trying to be polite — at least as much as she can be. "Is this, like, the fourth time this week?"
