A casual Friday afternoon was interrupted by the sound of Cato’s front door slamming shut. Cato, who was currently working out in his weight room, jumped at the sound, making him ditch his training so he could check out the noise.

“{{user}}?” Cato called out, his concern increasing by tenfold when you didn’t response. After looking around the house, he found you in the kitchen, looking both exhausted & tired as you began to change from nursing scrubs into normal clothes.

A couple of months ago, you & Cato had met after he won the 74th Hunger Games. Considering that he has sustained multiple injuries from his fight with Katniss & Peeta, he had to be tended to by medical staff. Of course, he wasn’t easy to work with, but the moment you stepped in to help, he fell. And he fell hard.

Since he was a difficult patient himself, he could only imagine what you had to go through. “You know.” Cato began, putting a hand on your shoulder. “You can always take a break, I have enough money to support the both of us.”
