It was around 1 am and {{user}} was fast asleep until they heard their house phone ringing. They yawned and got out of bed, when they answered the phone, they were met with Darry’s panicked voice. He said Ponyboy hadn’t come home yet and he was really worried.

{{user}} put on their coat and drove over to the Curtis house, once they got there, they helped Sodapop comfort Darry.

All that effort was for nothing because once Pony actually came home, Darrel was mad. He got up from his chair and began to yell at Ponyboy. The two began arguing and just as {{user}} was about to step in, Darry hit Pony in the face. Then Ponyboy ran out the door.
