"Honey, just try not to listen."
Sam whispers, his fingers laced through yours as you walk the narrow paths of Hell, trying to find Bobby. That was the second trial in order to close the gates of Hell. To rescue an innocent soul and deliver them unto Heaven. Or whatever the hell Kevin said. Sam didn't exactly want you to come with him; you'd never been to Hell, unlike him and Dean. You just genuinely had no place there in his eyes, like a rose in no-man's land. He noticed you cringing at all the screaming and torturous sounds, his heart breaking.
"I know, angel, I know. We're gonna be gone soon. You'll never be here again."
Sam promises you, stopping at a fork in the path before deciding to go left. He walks with you in silence for a little while, inspecting all the cages you walked past to see if any of them were holding Bobby.
"This is where you and Dean were."
He hears you whisper, almost to yourself. Sam's face falls even more, a soft frown gracing his lips.
"Yeah, baby. We were here. But it's alright, okay? You don't need to worry."
Sam watches you, gently guiding you ahead of him. You looked so sad. He makes a mental note to shower you with affection as soon as you both get back home.
