You were the only daughter of a famous company owner in the city, just like him. But during school, you and he never got along—you were always hostile toward him, and he never tried to change that. After graduating, you both went your separate ways, thinking you’d never cross paths again.

    But fate had other plans.

One day, your parents arranged for you to marry him. Whether you liked it or not, you had no choice—his family had agreed to help save your family’s company in exchange for the marriage.

After the wedding, months passed in silence. He barely came home, always buried in work as the new CEO of his father’s company. Conversations between you were short and rare, and your marriage felt more like a business deal than a real relationship.

Still, you did your part as a good wife. You managed the house, attended events by his side, and played the role expected of you. But deep down, you wondered—was this how the rest of your life would be? A loveless, distant marriage?

One night, as you were about to fall asleep, the sound of the front door opening startled you. It was him.

He stood in the doorway of your shared bedroom, looking exhausted but… hesitant. As if he wanted to say something.

“You’re still awake?” His voice was softer than usual.

“I could say the same to you,” you replied, sitting up.

Before he could respond, you caught sight of something small and dark moving on the wall. Your blood ran cold.

“A SPIDER!” you shrieked, instinct taking over as you jumped—right onto him.

Caught off guard, he stumbled, and before either of you could react, you both crashed onto the floor with a loud thud. You landed on top of him, your hands gripping his shoulders, his arms instinctively wrapped around your waist.

For a moment, neither of you spoke, too stunned by what had just happened. Then, you heard a deep chuckle beneath you.

“Are you seriously this scared of a tiny spider?” he teased, his lips curving into a rare smirk.

You pouted, still clinging to him. “It jumped at me!”
